🏒 South Island Youth Hockey Presents:
The Summer Mini-Series – 4-Week Ball Hockey Program
Are you ready to hit the floor?
We’re excited to launch our first-ever 4-session summer ball hockey development series, built for fun, fundamentals, and friendly competition! This program is designed for kids aged 7-18 and will focus on building confidence, learning the game, and playing hard—with heart. Sessions are Sunday mornings, beginning at 10am (registration open until full). All sessions are at Archie Browning in Esquimalt on July 20, July 27, August 3 and August 10.
👥 Coaching Highlight:
Jacob Bernardo will be leading the way!
A seasoned ball hockey player with experience at the Western Challenge Cup, Jacob brings 3 years of junior ice hockey experience as a smart, offensive defenceman—and a championship ring (with two seasons left to win another). A longtime Transform Sports athlete, Jacob has coached and mentored younger players in previous programs and brings both skill and leadership to the floor.
đź§ Program Details:
Players will be divided into evenly matched age groups to keep skill levels balanced and development-focused.
Each session includes instruction, positioning skills, and a game.
After four weeks, one team in each division will be crowned our first-ever Summer Mini-Series Champions! 🏆

All for just $55 per player
❤️ Accessibility:
As a proud partner of ICE Society, we’re excited to offer two fully sponsored player spots for families facing financial or emotional hardship.

🔍 Requirements:
Coaches (age 19+) must complete a criminal record check and Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders.
Players will need: helmet, gloves, shin pads, jock/jill. Knee and elbow pads are encouraged.
